Jacqui Rae Anderson

Jacqui Rae Anderson

Principal Therapist – New Remedy Therapy

I’m a qualified Mental Health Social Worker with over 14 years of experience in welfare, including 7 years as a Social Worker. My professional journey began in education and health, but I transitioned into social work because I felt limited in my ability to support young people within those systems.

Since then, I’ve worked in family violence, trauma, and child protection – challenging areas that shaped my understanding of complex needs but also led to burnout. I was lucky to be supported to transition into a local private practice and now I run a private practice of my own, where I specialise in working with children and families navigating ADHD, Autism, anxiety, sleep issues, and dual diagnoses of disability and mental health.

I also have a passionate interest and various training in family violence and have incorporated the most recent research and practices into my clinic to challenges the drivers of gender based violence and its impacts on primarily women and children.

Alongside my clinical work, I work sessionally in the Master of Social Work program at Charles Sturt University. I’m passionate about using my training, lived experience, and evidence-based approaches to support children and families in meaningful, lasting ways.
